Each home is run to the same standard, but they're not identical. Here's what each one actually offers.

What you need depends on how your accommodation is funded. Find yourself below.
At our accredited homes, NSFAS pays us directly. You apply and sign your lease through the NSFAS accommodation portal.
We invoice your bursary provider directly. You don't pay us month to month.
You or your parents pay by monthly debit order. A guarantor is required.
Complete the application form and upload your supporting documents in the same place.
We review your application and documents and come back to you with feedback.

Every home has armed response, panic buttons and electric fencing. Overnight visitors need advance permission, and there's a 22:00 curfew for visitors. We inspect every room at move-in and move-out, and there's an after-hours emergency number if something comes up.
Rooms start from R4,000 per month depending on the property and room type — see Our Homes above for the full breakdown. Rent includes Wi-Fi, water and electricity, weekly cleaning of common areas, laundry facilities, parking and armed-response security.
Yes, at Riebeek Street, Walton Avenue and Molesey Avenue, which are UJ and NSFAS accredited. Ludlow Road and Gloucester Street have accreditation in progress. Where we're accredited, NSFAS pays us directly and you apply and sign your lease through the NSFAS accommodation portal.

All five homes are within about 1–2km of UJ Auckland Park Campus — Ludlow Road is the furthest at 1.8km, the other four are around 1km. See each home's listing above for exact distances.
A deposit of one month's rent is required, and it's refunded within 14 days of vacating the property, following the outgoing inspection.
10 months, running February to November, aligned to the academic year.
Yes, where space allows — sharing is available at 20 Walton Avenue. We recommend sharing with someone you're already comfortable with.
Yes, parking is available at every property.

Private students do. NSFAS and bursary students don't, because the funder pays us directly.
Applications stay open until each property is full, so it's worth applying as soon as you can to secure your place.
